Hi everyone,
I've had a couple of questions about this board's features, so I thought I'd start a Q & A thread that explained some of them. I'm not terribly computer savvy, but I'll do my best. (Dennis, jump in here anytime....)
Feel free to post any questions about the technical features of this board, and we'll do our best to answer them.

Q: How does the "rank" structure at this board work? Why am I ranked as a "rook"? How do I change my rank?
A: Proboards has a feature that allows you to assign a title to members who accrue a certain number of posts. You are allowed to change those titles and the number of posts it takes to attain them. You can also create a title that is not related to the ranking system for individuals or groups. (They still will accrue stars, but will be given a title other than those below...like our "First Member" title.)
Currently our "ranks" are as assigned:
Rank/Posts/Symbol Rook / 0-24 / One Star Cadet / 25-99 / Two Stars Cadre / 100-149 / Three Stars Cadet Officer / 150-199 / Four Stars Regimental Commander / 200+ / Five Stars
Administrative positions are:
Admin: Site creators, policy-makers, ultimate accountability. Creates boards, generates topic ideas, sets purpose and policy, monitors content, has the ability to delete the entire forum, board, topic thread, individual posts, ban users, etc. Can name Global Moderators and Moderators.
Global Moderator: Basically an administrator without the ability to delete the whole forum or name Moderators.
Moderator: Has the ability to edit and delete posts on specific boards as allowed by the administrators.
First Member: A special title given to the person to register as a member of this forum.

For sports where is the Cross Country Link?? You will see that I've added one at your request. Not a bad time to tell the team, eh?

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to let you know that we've added a few new features to this board. (Nothing exciting content-wise, just a few bells and whistles that might make navigation easier.)
Thanks, Amanda
